We are so grateful for your ears and the positive energy we share at our live shows - it’s magic!!! And we missed it! We missed YOU. It is beyond wonderful to see everyone out again feeling alive and relatively sane.xoxo

We’ve been sharing 4 new songs at our recent shows, “The Beast Nostalgia” and “Dark Enough to See the Stars”, “Lioness”. These songs explore the challenge of parenting, codependence, grief and hanging on to things that need to get gone. If you feel you can relate, these songs are for you. We’ve got more shows planned, a whole new album of material we are rehearsing and more widespread touring- we hope to see you out there/here in the wilderness where we can connect.

The SunPunchers released their first full-length album LEVITY in 2017, with Equal Pay anthem “PAYDAY” released April 2019, and The WAYWaRD SINGLES, a 4-song EP was released November 2024 - all variations of expression in Americana/Desert Soul sounds that range from the dangers intimacy to ouija board swamp séance’s. We received PHOENIX MAGAZINE Editor’s Pick of Best Local Band for 2023 and The Phoenix New Times declared the band “relentlessly soulful”. Music blog YabYum wrote in their review of EP Honey  that “the sound The Sunpunchers have captured is mesmerizing." We’ve been lucky enough to share the stage with Andrew Bird, Iron and Wine, Sturgill Simpson, The Delta Maes, Dylan LeBlanc and one of our favorite Phoenix musicians Courtney Marie Andrews to name a few; along with wonderful local musicians including but not limited to The Blood Feud Family Singers, Revizor, Silverlake Rodeo, Haymarket Squares and Jim Bachmann.

You can find our music on itunes , Spotify, Apple Music and www.thesunpunchers.bandcamp.com  “Screwtop Head” features contemplative lyricism and the deficit of attention, juxtaposed by an open landscape of rich and unmistakably Southwestern loneliness. “Levity” the title track of the album, features a bedrock of stumbling rhythms and sliding textures that bow to the discovery of emotional freedom.

Toast Tuesdays is returning soon— Somewhere Between Page and Stage singer/songwriting friends join us to air out their new songs- see/hear happy musical miracles and mistakes , tears and laughs and enjoy free nutella toast cooked up by your SunPuncher toastess, Betsy Ganz. And check out our tour page, Instagram and FB pages for show dates!

Thanks again for supporting our work. Thankful for you, your energy and your enthusiasm. We are here to comfort your ears and serve your hearts ~>

Yours Gratefully,

The SunPunchers
